The final stage of National competition of pupil projects in applied programming named after Professor Pavlo Fedoruk

The final stage of National competition of pupil projects in applied programming named after Professor Pavlo Fedoruk was recently held at Precarpathian National University. All competitors were greeted by the Vice-rector for education Serhii Sharyn, the family of Pavlo Fedoruk, members of the organizing committee and partners of the competition. Students from different cities of Ukraine took part in the competition.

The competition is run by Department of Information Technology and Information computing center in honor of the famous Ukrainian cybernetic scientist, doctor of technical science, professor, vice-rector for science at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

Participants competed in three categories – Web Junior, Web Master and Programmer.

For this year, 100 pupil works were submitted for the competition, and only 18 were selected by the jury for the final stage. The final was organized in the form of a face-to-face conference where contestants presented and defended their projects.

The jury was represented by scientists and software engineers of our university, leading IT companies and other institutions.

According to the results of the National competition of pupil projects in applied programming named after Professor Pavlo Fedoruk, the winners were:

  • category Web Junior – Nazarii Vasylchuk (School №1, Ivano-Frankivsk);
  • category Web Master – Volodymyr Vriukalo (School №1, Ivano-Frankivsk);
  • category Programmer – Yevhenii Berezin (School №5, Ivano-Frankivsk);

The winners and participants received diplomas, certificates, valuable prizes and gifts from the sponsors of the competition, UTeam Internet Service Provider, Language Courses “YOLO” and prizes from the family of Pavlo Fedoruk.
